We created Downslope White to drink right now! Like its red counterpart, Downslope Red, the grapes for this wine come from the lowest-altitude sections of Alta Colina Vineyard. Our high altitude and steep hillsides means everything grows on a slope. Vines growing in those lower altitude sections of the property have more top soil and a less stressful life (turns out plants love dirt!). While the majority of our Vineyard has little to no topsoil, the bottom portions of the hills benefit from nutrient and water access because that topsoil has eroded downhill over time. That means more wine per vine and a wonderful drink-now blend!
